NG5849 : View from the Path from Arnish to Fladday

taken 6 years ago, near to Arnish, Isle of Raasay, Scotland

View from the Path from Arnish to Fladday
After leaving Torran, the path follows a defile through open woodland, and when it emerges, this is the view that rewards you. On the right is the southern tip of the island of Fladday. In the distance is The Storr on Skye, and the Trotternish peninsula extending northwards. The long low skerry in front of The Storr is Glas Eilean, and to its left is Fraoch Eilean, the 'heather island'. Only the light has changed significantly in the last ten years - NG5949 : View from the Torran to Fladda track is the same view.
