The Fanning Pass
The Fanning Pass
Also known as the Glendine Gap, this marks the border between Counties Laois and Offaly. James Fanning, commemorated here, devoted much of his life to the Slieve Bloom Mountains. Their highest point, Arderin (526m), is the rounded hill behind the monument.
