Railway Tunnel, Grosmont
Railway Tunnel, Grosmont
The second railway tunnel at Grosmont was constructed in the 1840s as an upgrade to first tunnel when the railway was upgraded from a horse drawn tramway to steam locomotion. The original tunnel is retained and now used as a pedestrian walkway from Grosmont station to the engine sheds.
