In this vintage scene a Hallowe'en evening shower flings a rainbow on the sky as the solitary passenger alighting from Killarney awaits the fantastic pantomime of shunting that will enable him to board the Waterford train. Before recent rationalisation every train had to pass through the station, reverse into the platform and then out and back again so that connections in both directions could be made.
