SH7467 : Summit erratic

Summit erratic
The presence of a very large glacial erratic boulder at the summit of Bryn-gwenith is bizarre. That glaciers cut the valleys is fairly easy to understand, but the idea of ice moving quickly enough to carry such huge quarried blocks out of the eastern Carneddau at a present altitude of 410m is more troublesome. Blocks such as this are rather isolated, which may tell us something about the transport processes. See also SH7372 : Lonely boulder for another, higher example.
