Former Western Infirmary, Glasgow
Former Western Infirmary, Glasgow
The Western Infirmary was opened in 1874 as the new teaching hospital of the University after the University had moved to the West End of Glasgow. The hospital closed in 2015 following the opening of the new Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Link in Govan. The site is now being redeveloped by the University of Glasgow. This part of the complex dates back to 1936 and was until 1990 the Tennent Memorial Institute of Ophthalmology Link .
