J4173 : The Cleland Mausoleum
near to Dundonald and Gilnahirk, Ireland

The Cleland Mausoleum
The Mausoleum was raised by Elizabeth Cleland, whose maiden name was Joyce.
Her husband, Samuel Jackson Cleland, had instructed the demolition of a neighbouring property, Rose Park, which was allegedly spoiling his view. The story goes on to tell that Samuel, thinking that the workmen were slacking, went down to the site to chivvy them along a bit. At this point a wall collapsed, killing him. He was 34 and left a wife and five children.
