Coventry Monument, Croome D'Abitot Church
Monument to Thomas, 1st Lord Coventry in Croome D'Abitot Church. Thomas was made Baron Coventry of Allesborough in 1620 and later became Lord Keeper to King Charles I. He died in 1639 and this monument was originally placed in old Croome Church adjacent to an earlier house. When the new Court was built and the park landscaped by 'Capability' Brown the new church was built and this monument was moved to the new church.
