Increase the default resolution for photos

It's not 1995 any more. Most people are viewing websites on big, high res screens, so want to see nice looking photos.
So increase the default resolution for any photo submissions. Maybe still allow lower resolution for those that insist, but that should be a much less obvious option.

And display higher resolution photos throughout the website as standard (using responsive design where necessary).

Why people think this would be a good idea... · Makes sense. There are still oeople who are bandwidth limited though. Perhaps m.geograph should stick to lowres. Or we could add a 'highres' switch (session style, a bit like the en|de switch on polylingual sites) to prefer the highest res available. by Bob Harvey
