Geograph ideas ::

Ability to annotate photos

proposed by Rudi Winter

Enable submitters to annotate their own images with text, straight and freehand lines and highlight boxes, which will be shown when a site visitor hovers over the main image on the photo page. Code from G.de could be reused for this to reproduce this behaviour: LinkExternal link .

Pledges in support of this idea · I'll finally finish the manual for the Browser (article) that I've left unfinished because the Browser was still being developed too actively at the time. pledged by Rudi Winter

If you built this feature, you get these rewards!
Why people think this would be a good idea... · Makes it much easier to point out features in busy photos, e.g. names of hilltops in a pano http://geo-en.hlipp.de/photo/79597 or fossils in a lump of rock, which now needs a clumsy link to an annotated file http://www.geograph.ie/photo/4137992 . by Rudi Winter
