The Old Coach Road, Hillsborough :: Shared Description

The Belfast – Newry (and Dublin) road of the 18th century followed a line which, in places, differs from that of the 21st century. The Old Coach Road, just south of the centre of Hillsborough, is reputedly where it diverged from the present Dromore Road which has, in turn, been replaced by the bypass.
