Eastern General Hospital
Cambridge Military Hospital
Eastern General Hospital No 1 comprised an encampment of wooden huts on an eight acre site now occupied by the university library and Clare Memorial Court. Capacity peaked at 1700 in 1916 with space augmented by marquees during the Battle of the Somme.



Brighton's Military Hospitals
Eastern General Hospital No 2 was headquartered at the new Grammar School in Dyke Road with further sites in 1&2 Sussex Square(officers), Stanford Road Council School, St Mark's School(demolished 1982), 16 Lewes Crescent and the newly opened Howard Convalescent Home on Roedean Road.







Brighton was also home to the Indian Hospital in the Elm Grove Workhouse (Kitchener Hospital now Brighton General Hospital), Royal Pavilion and York Place School (now City College) in Pelham Street.

Western General Hospital
Liverpool's Military Hospital
At the start of the war the Territorial Force RAMC unit moved into the Infectious Diseases Hospital at Fazakerley to establish the 1st Western General Hospital. Further premises were added as casualty levels increased.







Manchester's Military Hospitals
The 2nd Western General Hospital provided 25000 beds.




Glamorgan's Military Hospitals
The 3rd Western General Hospital was based at Cardiff Royal Infirmary with sections in Newport and Neath.
