National Cycle Network route 20 will, once completed, link Wandsworth in south London with Brighton. It will be 45 miles long. The sections between Wandsworth and Carshalton, and between Crawley and Brighton, are already completed.

Route 21 of The National Cycle Network runs south from Greenwich out of London through Lewisham (the Waterlink Way) to Crawley, and then via East Grinstead and Eridge to Heathfield and Eastbourne, a distance of 95 miles.

There is a further section on the Isle of Wight from the ferry terminal at East Cowes to Wroxall, passing through Cowes, Newport and Shanklin. The Isle of Wight section forms part of the Red Squirrel Trail.
