Edible wild plants and fungi

I have a long-standing propensity to eat free stuff, even roadkill, but I am confining this gallery to edible plants alone. (Recipes available on request.) It's by no means a complete list and has some very obvious omissions such as ramsons and blackberries but I'm sure others can contribute more - with just one proviso please, you must have tried it yourself- and survived! It goes without saying that wild foraging should only be indulged in if a) you are confident with regard to ID, and b) caution is taken with regard to conservation: nothing should be overpicked and something like pignut should be limited to the occasional sampling only. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
