Watershed Landscape Project - heritage of the South Pennines
Tue, 14 Aug 2012 16:35 LDB |
Focussing on the upland area of the South Pennines, The Watershed Landscape Project aims to raise awareness of the moorlands rich heritage and to promote a greater understanding of the important role the moorland played to the surrounding settlements. This gallery is a place to share photographs of the rich heritage of our quiet, windswept moors. The Watershed Landscape Project is now in its final year and it would be great if images of South Pennines upland archaeology and historic features could be uploaded to this gallery in order to document the rich heritage of this landscape. The Project is a three year Heritage Lottery Landscape Partnership Programme managed by Pennine Prospects in partnership with a wide range of organisations and hand-in-hand with local communities. www.watershedlandscape.co.uk |
