Worcestershire Churches The churches of Worcestershire are built of a variety of materials owing to the wide range of building stones found in and around the county. A number of them are nationally important examples of half-timbered construction. They represent all architectural styles. Apart from The Buildings of England : Worcestershire, Brooks and Pevsner Revised edition 2007 a full listing of the Anglican churches can be found in Churches of Worcestershire, Tim Bridges, Logaston Press 2000. I have used this latter list to compile these images from geograph (one per church). Three churches feature in “The top hundred in England” from Simon Jenkins, 1000 Best Churches: Great Malvern Priory Pershore Abbey and the high baroque church attached to Witley Court. The latter has two pictures in this galley to reflect the glorious and surprising interior. It really is a must see! This is the place to record the outstanding images of Philip Halling – well over half the total, and significant contributions from Bob Embleton, Dave Bushell, and David Stowell.
