Geo-Trips :: Southwest from Oxford
Shrivenham
A drive from Oxford, Sun, 5 Feb 2023 by David Howard
This was the first medium length trip of the year, aiming for the SW corner of Oxford. Once I got there, apart from a number of green squares being off road, it was so easy to keep going I literally followed the sun, knowing where I hadn't been before, and ended a few miles short of Swindon (where I had been) where the road split in Shrivenham. As a result I was able to return on the A420 to Oxford where I had very few photos, and managed a handful in Oxford itself before it got dark as soon as I hit the A40 home.
Click the blue circles to see a photograph taken from that spot and read further information about the location. The blue lines indicate the direction of view. There is also a slideshow of this trip. ( )
