This is the second part of an exploration of the mediaeval walled city of Chichester, the first part titled: If you've seen one wall....
You definitely need to make a perambulation of the most complete Roman wall. This trip focuses on the things within the wall. Did you know there were 9 (some say ten) tiny parishes within Chichester's 4 gates? That was reduced to six in the 17th century, all surviving until reality kicked in- in 1953. So join me for a look at all that lies within.
