Geograph on UK Web Archive
The UK Web Archive (UKWA)
collects millions of websites each year, preserving them for future generations. The UKWA is a partnership of the six UK Legal Deposit Libraries.
Geograph has worked with UKWA to ensure that Photos and other data from Geograph Britain and Ireland project is well archived. Being a large and highly dynamic site, it would otherwise only have a small percentage of pages archived.

Note: webarchive.org.uk has most images submitted upto mid 2014, about 3.8 million images; we still working (as of early 2019) on ensure more recent images are archived. It's a big project.
