Avocets at Topsham
Avocets at Topsham
Taken from Goat Walk, Avocets are important to the area bringing in lots of bird-watchers. The nearby railway line is called "The Avocet Line". They are very delicate looking birds and sway from side to side inserting their bill tips in the mud detecting prey by touch.
