Bertha being demonstrated on the Exeter Canal Basin
A birthday treat for me, the oldest steam powered vessel in the country being demonstrated. Myself and colleague were taken on board by rowing boat and my colleague demonstrated that transferring from rowing boat to dredger was as easy as falling off - well, a rowing boat. Fortunately both he and his equipment survived the experience.
