ST1893 : Nant-y-Draenog Reservoir - Empty

Nant-y-Draenog Reservoir - Empty
Nant-y-Draenog Reservoir - Empty
This is a disused water supply reservoir, with a footpath crossing over the crest (between the railings). There is a permanently-open pipe draining the reservoir, but when there is any significant rain the reservoir fills, as the flow in the stream exceeds the capacity of the outlet pipe. In this photo there has been little rain previously, and the muddy bed of the reservoir is exposed
