The old Bromley Pit headgear was dismantled and re-erected at the 'New Found Out' free mine for use there sometime during the 1970s. About 30 years later, in 2007, the wheel and its supporting structure were once again dismantled and re-erected at the Dean Heritage Museum by local volunteers as a monument to the free miners and the mining communities of the Forest of Dean.
