HMS Intrepid moored at Portsmouth
HMS Intrepid (L11) was the second ship of the Landing Platform Dock (LPD) class. She was commissioned in 1967, saw action in the Falklands war, was decommissioned in 1999, and finally towed to Liverpool for scrapping in 2008 (shortly after SU6101 : HMS Intrepid - Portsmouth Harbour was taken). Here she is moored by the tower seen in SU6301 : Circular stone tower in Portsmouth dockyard.
