Llanfihangel Nant Melan church
The church of St Michael was rebuilt in 1846 from a much earlier structure. It is one of four churches - Llanfihangel Cefnllys, Llanfihangel Rhydithon, Llanfihangel Nant Melan and Llanfihangel Cascob that were built in the area to 'contain' the last Welsh dragon.' Should any of the churches be destroyed the dragon would wake.
