Mighty Antar
Mighty Antar
This is a photograph taken in the summer of 1963 or 64.
It shows a Scammell Mighty Antar tractor unit, which was then used by the Army to move tanks on a large trailer. The driver tried to take a short cut across the V in the road junction to rejoin the other road shown on the map, but sank in the boggy ground. It is very interesting but one of the other pics on this grid square was taken from where I took my pic 45yrs earlier Link . To the left of the road in this photo are the marks of the bogged Antar still vaguely visible?
