NZ1139 : Old hen houses in Tow Law

Old hen houses in Tow Law
Old hen houses in Tow Law
As far as I have been able to establish, these hen houses could date back to circa 1900. The paved track to the right is now known as Attwood Road. To the right of this track there used to be housing, known as Granby Terrace, probably dating from the late 19th century. The "modern" houses in the picture are part of Weardale Crescent, built in 1938. The hen houses belong to a local Gentleman who attends to the hens on a daily basis.
