High water level near Creaguaineach Lodge
At the time of the visit, the reservoir of Loch Treig was at a very high level, partly submerging trees (as seen on left) and making this part of the Abhainn (River) Rath become an inlet of the loch. The tree's root (at right) is unusually formed and seems to be stretching out to the river to quench its thirst. Not quite so odd, given that it's perched on top of rock. Nature finds a way.
