ST9102 : Swans at Crawford Bridge

taken 15 years ago, near to Spetisbury, Dorset, England

Swans at Crawford Bridge
Swans at Crawford Bridge
Taken from the middle of Crawford Bridge, downstream were 62 swans (I counted them carefully on the image). OK, a couple may have been Little egrets (rare only a few years ago on the Stour). What's going on? In Spring the young adults gather together to choose mates, I've seen this elsewhere on the Stour in Spring.
