The plaque records the completion of the dam and reservoir by Bradford Corporation in 1918, proudly listing the aldermen, councillors and engineers responsible for the project.
The Angram and Scar House reservoirs were built during the period between the World Wars (1918-1939), to supply the Bradford woollen industry with water, using stone quarried from the surrounding hills.
