Rock of Cashel
Rock of Cashel
One of Ireland's most spectacular archaeological sites; this complex of 12c and 13c buildings on a rock plateau, is, despite the crowds, most impressive - best viewed in the late afternoon when the coaches have gone. The most notable buildings are the round tower (C.1100), Cormac's Chapel (1127-34), the Cathedral (1235-70), and The Hall of the Vicars Choral (15c).
