Pavilion, Ferris Park
This pavilion was built at this site on the Banbridge Road in 1999 - several years after the first gravel hockey pitch. Since, a smaller tennis/football court has been laid, astroturf has been laid and the main pitch equipped for hosting senior hockey matches. The pavilion also acts as a child day-care centre as well as changing rooms for football teams. Between 1979 and 1994 - this was the site of the 'Hut' - a wooden structure that housed the Free Presbyterian Church (LinkExternal link. The new church is a few hundred yards further south at the Quilly Burn. See: J1952 : Dromore Free Presbyterian Church.
