Mizen Peninsula: Three Castles and Dun Lough
Mizen Peninsula: Three Castles and Dun Lough
Three Castles are actually three ruined fortified tower houses linked by curtain walling and dating from the fifteenth century. These are the two towers of the three nearest to Dun Lough. The curtain walling joins all three and runs from Dun Lough to Dunlough Bay behind the photographer. Dunmanus Bay is beyond the gap at the end of the lough.
