BALLYNASCARRY HOUSE.
refer N.L.I., Dublin, Manuscript Collection ; Dopping-Hepenstal papers ; Ms. 35,832 (14).
p.25. Copy codicil to the will of Dr. (Patrick / Paddy ) Duigenan, M.P., extracted from Principal Registry Court of Probate, Ireland. Codicil dated 25 July 1811. Bequeathed wife Esther (Hester) nee Watson, formerly Hepenstal, a life interest in lands of Ballynascarry, parish of Foyran or Favoran, co Westmeath, then on her decease, to her only son, Rev. Lambert Watson Hepenstal (of Altidore, co Wicklow, incumbent of Derrylossory, co Wicklow) and on his decease to his heirs male. Probate granted to Esther Duigenan (of Sandymount, co Dublin) 26 June 1816.
The townland of Money (Annisgrove) was next to Ballynascarry and at some stage it was owned by Major William Gore (perhaps Ormsby-Gore, M.P. for county Leitrim 1806).
There was another ruin near Ballynascarry which looked very similar.
