Fleetwood's Marine Hall and Leisure Centre
A view of Fleetwood's Marine Hall (centre), Leisure Centre (background) and Marine Gardens and Bowling Greens taken from The Esplanade. The Marine Hall was opened in 1935 and is the largest entertainment venue in Wyre Borough. It is located opposite The Mount and backs onto Morecambe Bay and the Outer Promenade. It plays host to many events including live music, drama festivals and workshops, as well as many other diverse activities. To the front of the building lies the Marine Gardens and the seafront bowling greens. The Leisure Centre consists of two buildings; a swimming pool (opened in 1974) and a sports hall (opened in 1984).
