The home was once the home of Judith Hamilton and Rev. Alexander Calhoun who was Rector of Templecarne. Judith was the daughter of the Venerable James Hamilton, Archdeacon of Raphoe and Catherine Leslie.
James was the son of Rev Andrew and Rebecca Galbraith Hamilton. James'
brother, another Rev Andrew, wrote A True Relation of the Innsilken Men.
One of James' sons, yet another Rev Andrew was Archdeacon of Armagh.
wrote the Explementary Life and Character of James Bonnell.

The Explempary Life and Character of James Bonnell, was written by Rev. William Hamilton, Archdeacon of Armagh and also one of Ven. James Hamilton's sons.
