See J3474 : Transport House, Belfast (2). Another part of the mosaic depicts shipbuilding – now consigned to the dustbin of history and Titanic tourism. Continue to J3474 : Transport House, Belfast (4).
Transport House, Belfast

An office building, at the corner of High Street and Victoria Street, completed in 1959 to a design by JJ Brennan for the Transport and General Workers Union. A good example of the style of the time (with a comradely feel) but now vacant and boarded up. The decorative tiles recall the days when Belfast had a solid base of manufacturing industry. Not on the official “at risk” register but on mine.
