A plate, under one of the lamps J3474 : The Queen's Bridge, Belfast (detail) on the Queen’s Bridge. The lamps were cast in Glasgow but the bases seem to have been made locally. The founders were Gregg, Sons & Phenix who traded from 15 Church Lane J3474 : Church Lane, Belfast. The plate is well preserved and legible but is covered by several layers of paint. Lampposts, Queen's Bridge, Belfast


The ornate “fish” lampposts, on the Queen’s Bridge, Belfast were cast by the Sun Foundry, Glasgow - probably in 1885 or 1886. Still in use but no longer providing the main lighting.
