Cong - "The Quiet Man" Cottage Museum

Per Link the cottage shown is the Quiet Man Cottage Museum in Cong. The ground floor and furnishings were designed as an exact replica of the original White O'Morn cottage interior seen in the movie. This museum sells "Quiet Man" souvenirs and provides "Quiet Man tours. Per Link All of the interiors shown in the movie were filmed in Hollyood and all exterior shots were done in Ireland. The original White O'Morn cottage is located a bit south of Maum and just west of R336 off a muddy road along the Failmore River. It is in a state of ruins. Paddy McCormick of Northern Ireland has made attempts to acquire the property and restore it as a tribute to the film to no avail.
