The old road, Capel Celyn
The old B4391 and bridge (Pont ar Gelyn), normally submerged under the waters of Llyn Celyn, were visible after dry conditions in 1989.

The population of Capel Celyn and surrounding area in the Treweryn valley were displaced when the valley was flooded to form the reservoir of Llyn Celyn in the 1960's. A memorial chapel ( SH8441 : Memorial Chapel ) was built at the edge of the reservoir as a reminder of the lost chapel and burial ground.
