This was the final part of the Hillside development to be built - in 1956 and is indeed, in keeping with the era, much more austere than the extravagant pre-war developments in other parts of Stranmillis and Malone. Despite this, the Hillside development remains a very desirable area.

Amongst its first residents were a number of office clerks, civil servants, grocers and lecturers.
