taken 18 years ago, 4 km W of Glas-Allt-Shiel, Aberdeenshire, Scotland

The Dubh Loch
The Dubh Loch
This little loch (Dubh means Black in Gaelic) lies in a valley above the better known and more accessible Loch Muick, in the Grampian Mountains of Scotland. The loch is ringed by steep cliffs, with those shown in the photo being Creag an Dubh Loch. The scree seen in the middle of the photo comes from the Central Gully.
