St Canice's Cathedral, Kilkenny
St Canice's Cathedral, Kilkenny
This is a 13C building in Early English style, on the site of earlier churches of which the round tower on the right survives. It was ruined by Cromwell's soldiers, but was repaired and restored at various times. This is a cathedral of the protestant Church of Ireland, and there is also a 19C RC Cathedral in Kilkenny.
