Fair Maid of Perth at Hellifield
A railtour headed by Class 40 D200 pauses at Hellifield station for a photo stop. The station building is visible behind the train. To the right of the train are the down through line and goods loop. The siding branching off to the right accesses the goods shed. The trackwork remains in place in 2010.

Entering service in April 1958, D200 was the first of a batch of 10 2000bhp locomotives ordered from English Electric as part of British Railways' pilot scheme for the dieselisation of the rail network. Eventually, 200 of the type would be delivered. All were withdrawn from service by the mid-1980's with several, including D200, being preserved.
