O2234 : The exposed section of the Bull Wall

taken 14 years ago, near to Dollymount, Dublin, Ireland

The exposed section of the Bull Wall
The exposed section of the Bull Wall
The end of the exposed section of the wall is marked by a statue of Our Lady Star of the Sea paid for by the contributions of the port workers of Dublin during the Marian Year of 1954, but not erected until the 1970s. The seaward projection of the breakwater is exposed only at low tide and is constructed of loose boulders.
