Lindsay's Leap Quarries
GSNI use the term Lindsay's Leap to cover both quarries. Lindsay's Leap is actually within the working quarry and refers to a waterfall which plunges into the workings. The larger northernmost quarry, still sporadically worked, is also known as Thomas' Mountain Quarry. The smaller abandoned quarry south of Thomas' Mountain Quarry is known variously as Millstone Mountain Quarry and Lynn's Quarry after the man who first developed it.
