Dinting Viaduct
Dinting Viaduct
A train of empty coal hoppers runs off Dinting viaduct and through Dinting station on its way to be replenished. At this time coal was conveyed from the many Yorkshire coal mines to Fiddlers Ferry power station near Warrington via the now closed Woodhead route over the Pennines. After the mines closed the trains ceased and the through route closed as well in July 1981.
