Interior of parish church, Collon, Co. Louth
The interior belies a rather dull exterior N9981 : Parish Church, Collon, Co. Louth. Buildings of Ireland: North Leinster volume (Casey and Rowan 1993) describes the interior as 'a lovely blend of spare elegance with delicate Tudor-Gothic charm'. Collegiate arrangement of tiered choir stalls. Stained glass designed by the rector's daughter, Louisa Beaufort, made and installed by Edward Lowe of Dublin. In this image, Christine Casey, co-author of the above book, speaks from the pulpit to members of the County Louth Archaeological and Historical Society on an outing to the church.
