Poor quality land, Forth Mountain
Only thin acid soils on these quartzite hills. Forth Mountain was the site of The Battle of Three Rocks, a United Irish victory in 1798. An important place overlooking Wexford Town. All hills visited today in Co. Wexford had '98 connections.
