The Barmouth near Castlerock
The Barmouth is where the River Bann enters the Atlantic. The moles protecting the entrance to the river were built in the 1880’s and repaired and improved in 1929. This is the west mole under attack from a north westerly about 15 minutes before high water Coleraine.
